If by champion of the constitution you mean 'everything is unconstitutional', then yeah, I see it - he wants to abolish the department of education. He wants to repeal the civil rights act. He's insanely pro-life, thinks global warming is a hoax, that evolution is false, is anti-gay marriage etc. etc. I could go on.

Fun fact: When I was seven years old, Newt Gingrich came to my school. For some reason, my mom was at the school that day, and when Newt walked down the hallway shaking all the kids' hands, he went out of his way to stare awkwardly at her tits. We have a picture of it. Good memories.

Those two statements are not mutually exclusive. He is anti-gay marriage. He just happens to think it should not be enforced federally.

Thank you for your interest in American politics, despite you being an Englishman. It's good to know that the intelligent members of the human race aren't retreating into nationalistic isolationism. Because humanity is so interconnected politically, economically, and socially, do you believe that the attitude of foreign interests towards any nation's potential leadership has a significant (if indirect) impact on the election/appointment of those leader? If so, how? Also, I think you're rad.
