@ThePissedOffAtheist Whether the label "Muslim" has negative connotations definitely depends who you ask. I contend that an hour and 20 minutes on the morning of September 11, 2001 was enough time to give a widespread, long-lasting negative connotation to the word for a number of people larger than the entire population of Romania.

Am votat cu Remus desi nu imi faceam iluzii ca va castiga. Oricum votul e simbolic. Dar e prima data cand il vad cu unul din oamenii pe care ii respect cel mai mult la ora actuala. Sper sincer ca Remus va avea mai mult succes in viitor. Ca tineri ai Romaniei e cazul ca ne mai ridicam si sa mai spunem si noi cate ceva din cand in cand.

After 40years of dogmatic communism in Romania, the word "atheist" has a very negative connotation. Often used as an insult in fact.
To be irreligious is almost like being a traitor, not a real Romanian. Its denying your tradition and history.
I hope this mentality will change. Hope mr Christopher will in fact go to Romania and help enlighten open minds.
