Do you see a team called the "Holocaust kids" since Native Americans have gone through an American Holocaust. Apparently being murdered, and raped is a joke. Native Americans are not a source of entertainment they are a race of people. All team names should change, "Indians" are human beings living and breathing beings, not a costume to laugh about or a baseball team. 500 years of racism and suffering is not something to be joked about or used for selfish entertainment.

That really just makes you a hypocrite and is disrespectful on your part. Yes bad things have happened to the indigenous people in the past and we all wish it could change, but it is how it is. It's one thing to blame a group of people for something, but to hold a grudge is too much.

so what is the correct term well it depends native peoples, first nation, original peoples but most of all we go by indigenous peoples the first term was really indios 'in with god' spanish word for dios is translated god we gave so freely when Christopher Columbus came we gave without want or alternative motives. now native Americans is wrong also cause Amerigo Vespucci was an Italian explorer we are not Italian nor did we come from India but back then it was called Hindus not India

Native Americans never gave europeans permission to name white schools. But what that just entails is colonization, brainwash, imposition and 'WHITE SUPREMACY. Lets call a white school Red Neck High School??
