Handicrafts of Kutch

In today's intolerant, consumerist world, wisdom-rich & sustainable traditional ethos are getting marginalised and the Mother Earth is in the process of ruins. We feel that, in these days of environmental crisis, traditional, small societies have many things to offer. Kachchh, too is under the onslaught of ruthless consumerism. It is in this context to understand our roots, we have tried to document various cultural facets of the ancient land of Kachchh. During 1983-1994 period, 22 hours of documentry material was shot on 16mm film (now preserved on DG Beta and hard disk) with the efforts of late Shri K. V. Thakkar.
