This video does remind you that this can happen to anyone anytime. We watched this video today at work, and I was in shock for the rest of the day. It surely made everyone more aware of safety at work . I could not imagine going through such a horrible ordeal!
I saw this video at our works safety brief & thought, how am I going to stay awake for an hour watching this? Ironically I don't think I blinked once through it. A normal guy with a very strong hard hitting message of which we should all bear in mind when we think cutting corners would be quicker & easier! Well done Charlie not only for surviving your dreadful ordeal but for getting your message through to vast audiences around the world!!
I just saw charlie Live today at BP cherry point refinery and WOW is the only word I can think of. They had him come in and speak and I have never been into a safety meeting as much as I was today ever! For 1 hour solid I had the pleasure/horror of hearing what happened to him. What a fantastic speaker!! Thankyou Charlie is about all i can say!!!!!
Totally agree with marnyx. It was shown to us at 7;30am. A movie that early was sure to be a real snoozefest...but not Charlies movie!Everybody was riveted and wide awake as we listened to his incredible story.I know I've been like Charlie more than once in my life and I'm lucky to still be here. This guy is a hero for telling his story. Without a doubt he is a lifesaver and an accident and injury preventer.
Charlie your my new hero! You were chosen to help us all Charlie!
I saw this at work this year. It was one of the few saftey videos that any of us actually paid attention to. It really opened our eyes to how un safe and inattentave thet we had been. Thank you for doing this.
"I saw Charlie LIVE on my ship, I am in the navy.... and I'll never forget....
FOOOORRRR WHHHAT?!?!?!"
Well Charlie let me tell you.... for no good reason.
Thats for what.
THANKS CHARLIE!!!!
You taught a ship of nearly 6,000 people to no longer fall asleep or slack on the job. Kudos..... Kudos
