«Η σκόνη του χρόνου» εκτυλίσσεται χρονικά από το 1953 έως το 1974, στην πρώην Σοβιετική Ένωση, τα σύνορα Αυστρίας - Ουγγαρίας, την Ιταλία και τη Νέα Υόρκη. Η ταινία πραγματεύεται τις σύνθετες διαπροσωπικές σχέσεις και τις ιδεολογικές ανατροπές, μέσα από την επιρροή που ασκούν τα μεγάλα πολιτικά γεγονότα, από τις παραμονές του θανάτου του Στάλιν μέχρι την παραίτηση Νίξον στην Αμερική και την πτώση της ελληνικής χούντας.

It is excepional!!!!

At my opinion better than the first film of the cycle (trilogy) " to livadi pou dakrizi". As you propably know dust of time is the first film of the cycle. The third will be the film Avrio. Although, we need to see both films to be understand the allegories.

The film is totally breathtaking... It is poetry. Reminds of a theatrical play, a dance, a music concert, a photographic exhibition.

I watched it in the almost fully booked great cinema theatre of Olympion (the big cinema theatre of the Greek Thessaloniki Film Festival which very seldom gets full off-festival-season). The film is pure magic, although I had to watch it twice before being able to catch the allegories. Exceptional work. Bravo!

This is one of Angelopoulos' best films. It's not an easy film, but its beauty and power grows on you.

Did Angelopoulos change his original idea for the trilogy then? I'm sure i remember hearing that the second part was going to follow the 'migration' of the family to find a better life outside of Greece during wartime, and the 3rd and final part would take part in New York during the 70's.
