The inspiration for much of my music harkens back to ancient Greece, especially the Pythagorean Mystery Schools and their explorations of sound healing. Georgia Kelly and I met in the studio on the full moon in June, 1978, about l50 yards from the Pacific ocean. We had just completed the session and were saying goodnight when a chant began to emerge from my mouth. No one was more surprised than me. I looked at her and the engineer and said, Apparently we're not through yet. We turned on the equipment, and this amazing invocation, using the power of the five vowel sounds, channeled through. We debated including this track on the album, for a number of reasons, but ultimately decided it had to be included. In 1981, I had the opportunity to chant this mantra inside the King's Chamber of the Great Pyramid. It really got the energies moving! Lights were going off all around me in the totally dark room. (The entire recording is now available on Initiation: Inside the Great Pyramid (IPM 8009). I highly recommend listening with headphones to recreate that sacred space. Several years later, I met Butterfly. We began talking about our mutual connection to ancient Egypt, and she said that she loved dancing to the first song on Ancient Echoes. That was the beginning of about two years in which we performed several amazing concerts together. Alas, there is no footage of those events (including a national conference of the Rosicrucian society). Before she left the planet, she encouraged me to share this video with the world. It is my pleasure to finally do so. Ancient Echoes is available from www.innerpeacemusic.com

@kishaba1980 I'd start with Dawn or Comfort Zone. Starborn Suite is also a great introduction.:)

this was my first introduction to the music of both Steve Halperin, and Georgia Kelly. Since then, I have aquired much of both thier catalogues. This Ive used for healing and meditative practises, to great effect. Thank you Georgia, and Thank you Steve.

Steven Halpern. Introduced to him so many years ago I can't count and I'm in my 60s now. I still have this ...somewhere. Georgia Kelly, ummmm. always enchanted and learned about her around the same time. This led me to many others, but started with Steven Halpern and Georgia Kelly - I still have my first Steve Halpern CDTrans Zendance and Afro Desia.
