Hello there!

Thank's for the interest.

This is an exercise I've develop on the 6/8 Afro. It consists on moving the bass drum through each stroke of the 6/8 ride cymbal pattern (on the first stroke, then on the second stroke, third, and so on). 2nd way consist on playing BD along with the ride in the first and second ride strokes, then second and third, and so on.

A 3rd way can be playing 2 strokes leaving one in between. This should give you and understanding on how and when to play the BD in the 6/8, and also for improvise. It's open up a ton of possibilities.
