Coming to the end of the evening. Excuse the camera wobble towards the end of this clip zoomed in from the back of the rear gallery.

  • absolutely fantastic instrument. playings pretty fancy too! thanks, not been there for about 3 years, but this makes me want to go again. leave plymouth for blackpool - never.

  • Sitting here tapping my feet to this. its briliant and once again John Bowdler all again . pure brilliance

  • Quality John. Great song choices and beautiful registration. Saw you at Brighouse a few years ago, great concert.

  • this looks like the days when th yamaha ELX1 was the electronic organ at the tower not the wersi .. so that tells me that at this time there were no steps.. looked alot better than it does now a days ..

  • now where else would you find dancers , doing a quickstep to the pot black theme tune ! (black and white rag)

one of the best players of all time on the blackpool wurlitzer

  • i love blackpool ballroom

  • where have the steps gone off the stage?

  • Wurluitzer , hvor har jeg savnet denne sound , kedeligt man skal rejse så langt ,flot klip

  • Absolutely great ! my only regrets about this marvellous organ are (1) The grand piano attachment is no longer used, it had a great sound and such visual impact. The modern piano attachment - not seen - has a peculiar loud 'clanking' sound. (2) The removal some years ago of the famous old 'crash' cymbal. I remember when some time ago Nigel Ogden made a compact disc he insisted on that crash cymbal being returned for the part he did in the Reg Dixon style.

  • These videos are awesome . Now I live in devon I miss my visits to the Tower Ballroom.

Many thanks to RitaSueBob for this priceless entertainment
