There are flaws in every health care systems. In Norway we do have the problem with health cues, where you, depending on what kind of operation/treatment we're talking about, may have to wait up to a year to get the surgery.
This is, however, being remedied by being able to look for other hospitals that can get you in quicker. And for the smartypants telling you our social health care is stemming from the oil: Well, that's not quite true, since we pay our health insurance via high taxes.
So you don't have insurance because it cost more because you are a risk? Why shouldn't you pay more if you are a greater risk to cost more? No different than car insurance or life insurance. So your solution is that my taxes should be raised to pay YOUR insurance costs. Bulls*t.
yeah..screw blue cross...they were the people who denied me! I hate US insurance...SICKO documentary was my feelings exactly! If i ever get really sick..cancer, ect...im moving to canada or the UK. Period.
Im 23, and overweight. Before i even found out i have pcos i applied for medical insurance at 20 yrs old and fully healthy...they denied me because i was a "little" overweight...i fought it and then counterclaimed back that they would offer me inusrance but at triple the rate for "normal" people my age/height. Needless to stay...3 yrs later no insurance
The problem with your health care is massive government regulations. Socialized medicine would be the worst thing to do. Deregulate medicine c o m p l e t e l y and you would bring more innovations, cheaper care and better quality. Think of it this way too: If your child gets a serious disease, would you rather have the power in your hands or in a government official.
