it would be stupid for one to proceed with this 'cover-up' thinking that NO ONE out there has an audio recording of the attempt itself, with todays tech, and YT. I'm fairly certain it didn't sound half as bad in person, as it may have off of someone's low-quality cellphone video recording, which WILL sound like mush with all those notes crammed together. If you've seen any of his TV appearances in foreign countries, they're quite clear-sounding, that'd be VERY hard to fake, now wouldn't it??

If anyone even noticed, this is part of a promo clip, it HAS to be glossed-over, it has to be professionally produced, as MANY other things have to be, in the realm of product promotion. Do you know or are willing to admit to yourselves, that even your music heroes must take live show recordings intended for cd/dvd release, into a studio to cover up bum notes? Many, many MANY do this. He held the record, if he was officially listed as a record-holder, that's all that matters....

screaminone @Matte, more:..even this phone-cam video of Thiago is bad, i still appreciate more hearing "Flight of the BumbleBee" than "DuelingBanjos" which is basically only 2or3 repeated patterns in 2 different positions on the neck, relatively not as challenging...I still think ppl r misconstruing his 'official' vid as totally official. Its been glossed over for PR use, it's necessary; there's 'production' built around it, there's an intro, a montage, and a record-label logo. Peace.

@KMatteKudasaiC: being nice about it (as u r) but a person on the GWR site says to the contrary. Think GWR went ahead with sending their witness to Brazil, not knowing what the required song is, and then called Thiago days later: "sorry dude, we f'd up, the required song is Dueling Banjos."?? I've seen the vid from the other guy ur talking abut, Jose DelRio, n if ppl think Thiago's "official' vid is bad, Jose's is garbage...

@screaminone the song you need to play for th record is dueling banjos.. sum guy did it and its on the website.. and i really dont understand how this works.. to my understanding you have to pluck every note perfectly but the guy that does the dueling banjos at 300 bpm or w/e it was is less accurate than thiago.. Not to say they cant play fast.. obviously there picking hand is demonly but ya gotta be smooth

@KMatteKudasaiC: I still don't see anything on the GWR site that says hes been discredited or disqualified, but maybe i'm just looking in the wrong place, and ive looked there at least a cpl x's since my last post here. The only other thing i can think of making audio appear out of sync: "dropped frames" in vid...."MatteKudasai," an old King Crimson song, took me a minute to remmbr. I used2have the album that song was on, on cassette about 20yrs ago! May look that up on YT in awhile. Nice....

@pocoinc Contraditório é um cara que se diz ser formado no GTR e diz que esse cara tem um grande nível técnico sem demonstrar um pingo de fundamento em defendê-lo!!! Nossa formado no GTR como se titulo significasse algo para fundamentar sobre algo tão simples de guitarra, que a harmonia desse cara é pessima, ele não adequa suas notas à melodia e suas músicas são patéticas para um nível que ele alega estar!!!

Well, im jealous of your playing ability, and, i think alot of people are willfully ignorant of what that official video is, which to me, underneath the surface is promo package material, and so are jealous of the PR he gets, being on shows in Japan and his native country, etc. I mean, you can replace however much audio, but, can you fake attaining a record in front of organisation people and having your name posted in their book? He'd probably get sued for completely making up every aspect of..

...and what makes you fight so hard AGAINST him, considering you got a guy out there who holds a record for masturbating furiously on ONE string, and thinks so godly of the importance of his record and his 'talent,' and another guy who's video is 50-100x worse than this and who's name doesnt even appear right away in regards to a record, on websearches or the GWR site, in JoseDelRio? There are just a lot of jealous people who have their blinders on and see only what they want to see...
