A normal DG-IV Moon mission ended in a crash in a remote area south of Brighton Beach Moon Base.

The video was made in the cool Orbiter Space Simulator by Dr. Martin Schweiger.

It is my entry for the Orbiter Video Contest 2008.

The End is a bit bad, I'll change it when I have time.

  • Why are you wasting all that fuel using the hover engines for launch? Take off horizontally with the regular aft engines on the runway (go to Patrick AFB's strip RW 13) and just use the lift of the Delta glider to get up and powered to orbit. You need all the fuel you can carry if you want to have decent landing options.
