Here is a slowed down lesson of the first David Gilmour guitar solo from Comfortably Numb by Pink floyd, for Josh. This is the way I play it, not note for note the way David plays it on the studio recording. American Standard Strat with Seymour Duncan SSL-5 bridge pickup, Skreddy Pink Flesh Big Muff clone, EH Deluxe Electric Mistress flanger, delay. Lots more Gilmour gear and clips here: http://www.kitrae.net/music/Music_mp3.html

  • What effects are you using?....great job! cheers.

  • See the "more info" section, upper right of screen.

  • tabs?

  • I learn by ear, so no tabs. They are on the web though if you do a google search.

  • That must be fun. Actually, you can play most DG stuff with three fingers. I cut the tip of my ring finger a few weeks back and had to play with just two, because I rarely use my pinky except for chords. Anything is possible.

  • I have the color set at about 25%, range at 0%, and rate at about 27%, assuming knobs turned all the way left is zero. If you look at my "Comfortably Numb Jam w/Electric Mistress" clip, I show the mistress settings at the end.
