The first of 800 asylum seekers destined for Malaysia under Australia's new immigration policy arrived on Christmas Island on Thursday (August 4).
The 54 people were taken to shore by an Australian customs ship and will be later taken to a detention centre on the island where they will be told that they will be sent to Malaysia.
The Immigration Department has said the transfer of the asylum seekers to Malaysia would take place on Sunday (August 7). According to local media reports, Malaysia is sending a police delegation to Australia to observe the transfer.
In return, Australia will take in 4,000 certified refugees over a four-year period.
The Australian government says the scheme is aimed at breaking the business model of people-smugglers who run the often ramshackle boats, which mainly leave from Indonesia.
Australia has more than 6,000 asylum seekers in detention, originating from countries including Iran, Iraq, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan. Malaysia has about 93,000, according to U.N. figures.
Welcome now go back and get in line and wait .

@drgumsingh Australia's cocksucking and ass licking status has given these people the wrong perception. As soon as Australia forgoes its rights to Christmas Island, the boat smuggling will stop. In the meantime i suggest you go and suck a big Aborigine's cock.

Most of them when they stay in KL, they live in comfort renting good accommodation. You can see them in shopping Mall like Pavillion, Sungei Wang Mall, Mid Valley. They have money and they willing to spend. Yet they willing to take death wish by boat to Australia. Why? They want freedom, liberal, and modern comfortable lifestyles. For them Malaysia is not enough as they treat Malaysia as Second Class country.
