Great On-Board shots from the Canoe during the "Ski To Sea" multi-event relay race in Bellingham Washington., with Team "Beavers Tree Service". The other legs are cross country ski, down hill ski, run, road bike, CANOE, Mt. Bike, and Kayak / surfski. Starts at the Mt. Baker ski area and ends in Bellingham Bay. The Canoe leg is 18 miles down the Nooksack river to the Mt, Bike exchange which you will see at the end. Keep your eye on the hat, I need a new one for next year, and GO-Ahead rate this video !!!!

  • great video... do you have pics of the mounting system you used to get that great shot? Did you record the entire leg or did you use the remote to take shots during the leg?... Thanks for posting it.

  • I mounted the camera lens on a tripod, and did record the whole race. I do have pics somewhere, I was told it looked like a small Eiffel tower.

  • Just found your video. Nice job! Are you using a GoPro camera? That's what I've been using for my videos. I epoxied a GoPro mount to the top of a XC Ski pole. Then I just stick the pole in a piece of foam in the stern and use a lot of duct tape. I'm working on a better canoe mount system that will spring back when it hits something. YouTube has enabled my account for videos longer than 15 minutes. Not sure how, but is makes it nice that I don't have to edit my videos into short segments.

  • FYI you lost your cap.

    Awesome vid!

  • nicely done, great action and editing.

  • nice work, good time! is there footage of the vortex in there?

  • This video has it all; action, drama, brand placement (ZRE logo on life vest) and even a wardrobe malfunction (head beaver loses his hat). I like how it starts out slow and then crescendos into an orgasmic climax punctuated by Dave's finish line bow thrust. Nice work Beavers, nice work indeed!

  • Brian and Dave really rock! Watch how they pass that one boat, you can see how human power works!

    Good job team beavers!

  • Music sounds good. Was going to send you some stuff...
