Do you have to render video in Virtual Dub before you do the Cineform encoding ?

@poiklu I had the same error using .mov files from a Canon 7D. Fixed the problem by changing the settings in Quicktime.ini to the following.... [Settings] color=1 Mode=3 audio=1 quality=100 vtrack=1 atrack=1 gamma=2.5 fourcc=

I have no problem with any mov into virtualdub. The crash is when i export the mov as avi (with or without conversion and filters).
Thanks!

did you try to change the compressor? Maybe the compressor you are using is causing this. What I have on my computer 100% of the time (and I tested in other 2 computers) is that when you load a quicktime, it's ok. If you drag the second one, than it crashes.
Sorry but I can't think of any other solution so far.

An out-of-bounds memory access
Hey Ivan. I followed all the steps, but when i start the conversion Virtualdub crashed with this message:
(access violation) occurred in module 'QuickTimeH264'...
...writing address 00000000...
...while running thread "Dub-I/O" (thread.cpp:163).

Please, try to just drag the 7D mov file to virtualdub and see what happens. Then let me know.
Ivan
