Have you test pedaled a MirageDrive boat yet? It's one of the better ways to help make tough decisions like yours. Many of our dealers provide Demo Programs. You can locate your local dealer through our dealer finder (hobiecat.com/support/dealers/search/) and see about getting in one.

@BtownSean Our resident photographer hand held his camera, in housing, just below the hull while pedaling.

They can go just as fast as trolling moter and many people have put them on the boat by taking the plug and modifying it anyways. They can really move in the water.

Don't airplane props move in a perpendicular direction to travel? Take a closer look at the fins, they're not just flat things moving in the water

The fins are flexible. They basically work like a propeller blade in shape, but occillate back a forth under the hull. The fins reverses shape upon each change of direction. Very similar to the stroke a penguin uses with it's fins. Fast and tons of torque.
