  • @99boyz You are one bitter and ignorant individual. These estates were built in the early 1900's. I'll do the math since you don't seem too bright. That's about a hundred years ago. Some were donated to the state and counties along with huge endowments to be used as parks, arboretums, nature preserves and museums with covenants that the land could not be subdivided. Some are also used as colleges. So the fact is, these places aren't destroying your open land...they ARE your open land.
