There's not a lot to see to justify the £7.50 admission charge. Visitors follow a roped circular route some distance from the stones making it difficult to appreciate their size. There is very little interpretation - just a rather poor audio tour, no visitor centre, a typical souvenir shop selling English Heritage products, limited refreshments (hot/cold drinks and sausage rolls) and all very sadly lacking (although there are proposals to close the adjacent road, build an interpretation centre, cafe and new car park at a distance from the site and visitors would be transported via a road train pulled by a landrover.) Overall, a very disappointing visitor experience. At least I got in free.
@michi386 That's probably the best way to view the stones!!
