Here's a quick Thunderbolt demo shot by ProVideoCoalition.com in our booth at NAB2011. This new technology will change our workflow completely when it comes to using large uncompressed files and backing up or moving projects. The speed is blazing fast. As you can see, the raid is fairly small and gives off almost no heat.
We put together this demo at NAB to give people the opportunity to experience Thunderbolt speed first hand. I'll be working on more Thunderbolt videos as new devices start to roll out. This includes, Macs/PC's , Cameras, IO devices from AJA, BlackMagic Design, Matrox, and drives from G-Tech, Promise, and many more..

If you are editing your movie, in whatever software, why would you do it on files that are uncompressed and/or larger than the delivery format? Even if you are to deliver in 4K, why would you do your edits on such large images? Editing is about putting clips together with great timing to tell the story. Compositors and match movers could use the resolution, the editors can hardly make the argument that they have a need for it?

I really appreciate ALL the software you guys put out. it's very, very nice... a little over-priced though. which is why i pirate it all. literally all of it. thanks for the Master Collection.
