1958 Aluminum Streamline travel trailer that had gone to the dogs, literally. This will be a refurb, not a restore, because I am making modifications to the layout and not staying true to the original interior.
I am stripping the factory paint off the interior, down to the aluminum skin, and hope to be able to use the same kinds of polish that many restorers use on the *exterior* of aluminum trailers to get a similar shine on this interior.
I am refinishing the original birch cabinet doors and drawer faces and will reuse as much original hardware as I can.
Current plans are for a cork floor to replace the original linoleum; I am looking for a range and refrigerator for the kitchen. Looks like I might be able to recycle a pull-out couch/bed from someone else's Airstream, but we've yet to try it.
