Formula Nippon engine I think or some engine derived from it.

Only ~560bhp and it weighs ~1.5 tonnes, lots of electronic aids/computers and whatnot to help it along. Venom GT is based on an Exige which is revered for its handling, plus it has 725-1200bhp and weighs ~1.1 tonnes (6.2 super'd - twin turbo V8).

Cylinders have little bearing on power. Size and aspiration are the main factors. E.g. F1 cars have a 2.4l V8, 800bhp. Viper has an 8.4l V8, 600bhp.

I doubt the HSV will ever become a street legal car. I think it works best as a racetrack car. Also, I gotta ask you ppl a question about the LFA. How is it that a car that is made almost entirely out of CF and have a V10 engine only do 202mph/325kph? I just can't wrap my head around that. I mean, the Hennessy Venom GT probably would destroy it on the track and the Venom is a V8. Heck, I'd say that both the HSV and Venom could put out better performance than the LFA.
