Something I may not have captured with my comments back a few months ago - given the way Favre is pleading his side while speaking for both sides, I have no doubt that Thompson was just "handling" Favre as he acted the Prima Donna. We've all been in work situations where the biggest complainer creates situations wherein they are "handled" and when what they were told doesn't make the final decision of the whole organization, then they REALLY get worked up. Pretty much Favre in this case.

And as far as the two linemen, one guy didn't even complete the following year, and the other guy played a few more unremarkable seasons.
And I have a hard time believing that Favre's approach to his preferences as humbly as he makes out.
At the end of the day there is a reason TT is a GM and Brett Favre isn't. One can only imagine that state of the Packers if Favre had gotten his way. There was a reason the Packers treaded water in the early 2000's - Favre got his way too much.

Well Favre can be "diplomatic" when it suits him, but when the organization does it it's a lie.
The Packers didn't get Moss, went 13-3 anyway, and it was Favre who blew the NFCCG in 2007.
Favre got Moss in 2010 and what happened? Moss babied his way out of the best franchise in the league in New England only to get a month stay in Minniesota.
As far as Mooch, he's an idiot. Pretty much unwatchable in the NFL network. If he was so great how come no other team snapped him up?

Amen. Why don't people understand this simple premise. I am a HUGE Packer fan but man I'm beginning to lose interest after hearing how both management and the current fans have beat down and disrespected a legend.
