This was shot from the visitor's center to the east of the monument. I had to be careful for rattlers. I did not see any but I was not taking chances. There is a lot of history with this rock that looks like a chimney. I had seen it several times when I lived in this area but never stopped until now. Enjoy!!
Well actually folks! The visitor center where this is being filmed from is at least a 1/2 mile or more away from the formation! If you'll go south past the visitor center, Turn right at the T in the road & follow that to the end by the old cemetery! You'll get a much closer view of it then!

chimmy rock was bigger back when the pioneers where around, but after hundreds of years of erosion and that famous nebraska weather, rocks fell off and it got smaller
