This was shot from the visitor's center to the east of the monument. I had to be careful for rattlers. I did not see any but I was not taking chances. There is a lot of history with this rock that looks like a chimney. I had seen it several times when I lived in this area but never stopped until now. Enjoy!!

  • Well actually folks! The visitor center where this is being filmed from is at least a 1/2 mile or more away from the formation! If you'll go south past the visitor center, Turn right at the T in the road & follow that to the end by the old cemetery! You'll get a much closer view of it then!

  • chimmy rock was bigger back when the pioneers where around, but after hundreds of years of erosion and that famous nebraska weather, rocks fell off and it got smaller

  • NEBRASKA IS NOT A STRANGE PLACE!
