Discovering A Dream: Chapter 43

Hayley's POV

I knew I had to tell Kevin, but I knew he wouldn't be pleased with my treatment decision. The burden was getting way too heavy to carry alone, but who could I tell without them blabbing to somebody else. I didn't want to tell Riley encase she freaked, and Carson was away in Canada.

"HAYLS! LET ME IN!"

Wait, that's absurd. That sounded just like...

"Carson?" I asked, opening my front door.
"No, it's your freakin' fairy Godmother!" she yelled. "Yes it's me, now help with my cases!" she ordered.

I didn't know why she was here, but I took it as a sign. I had to tell Carson, as soon as I found out what she was doing at my house with a ton of suitcases.

"Are you going somewhere?" I asked.
"Just got back. I left Canada early, crisis situation." she sighed. "I need a drink."

I made us some coffee and we sat at the kitchen counter, ready to explain our issues.

"I kissed Austin." she confessed, her face blushing slightly. Was that embarrassment or shame? Maybe both. "I told Joe and he broke up with me."
"Oh Car...I'm so sorry." I said, reaching across the space to hold her hand.
"It just isn't fair." she sobbed. "I did the right thing, telling him the truth. I thought he loved me."
"Carson, of course he loves you!" I said, defending Joe. I knew he did. "It's just a shock, and he may take some time getting over it."
"I'm over it." she objected.
"It's not the same thing Car." I sighed. "I knew Kevin was acting weird over the phone." I muttered. "How'd you get home?"
"One way plane ticket. I couldn't stay in Canada any longer."
"I don't blame you."

She stopped sobbing, swiped at her running nose, then straightened herself out.

"How are things with you?" she asked, smiling weakly. If only she knew.
"I have something I need to tell you Carson." I started. "You have to promise not to tell anybody, because nobody knows and I need to tell them myself."
"This doesn't sound good..." she said, wearily.
"Remember I kept throwing up, but we put it down to nerves?" I asked.
"Oh gosh! Are you pregnant again?" she asked, hysterically, but slightly smiling.
"What do you mean again?" I demanded. "I wasn't ever pregnant!" I corrected.
"Sorry." she mumbled.
"I went to the Doctor's and it turns out....I have breast Cancer." I whispered the last part.
Her face paled. Oh God, this wasn't gonna be pretty.

"Oh Hayley!" she wailed, dashing over to embrace me. "How could you deal with this yourself! You should've told me sooner!" she said, letting her anger loose on me, all the while pulling me closer. "Wait, I'm the first person you've told?" she asked.
"Mhmm." I mumbled, somewhere from being crushed inside Carson's elbow and her neck.
"You have to tell Kevin!" she instructed.
"I realise that, but I think it'd be better if I told him in person." I reasoned.
"Hayls, he doesn't get home for over a month. You can't keep this from him!" she said, sternly. "How about your Mother, or your sister?" she asked.
"Nobody else knows." I finalised. "And it's staying that way, for now anyway."
"I won't tell, but you know you should." she said, making me feel guilty.
"When I'm ready." I sighed.

Raise your hand if you failed a Science test.....*raises hand*
So turns out, screwing around in science, then putting joke answers on the test doesn't benefit. Not scientifically anyway. I ended up with 10/32 - which I cleverly changed to 12 after 'correcting' a few answers :D I ended up with an E, haha. Now I have to attend after school revision :/

Also, College open day on Thursday. My first time. Gonna go have a gander around, see what the dealio is. I'm rather excited :D

I'm also considering uploading the first chapter of my new series sometime tomorrow? Possibley.

Comment Question: Have you heard the new Metro Station songs from the Kelsey EP? Also, any opinion on Miley deleting her Twitter. It's all anybody is talking about :L

Ahh, we're doing the Finance side to business this year too. I generally suck at Maths so it's kinda difficult.

well the 'important' news is always on the secound page. Im looking for news on the war in iraq and palastin and their like on the last page or the latest earth quake or flood and stuff and they r never on the front page its really annoying, its a news paper for grown ups, dont put miley and emma watson news at the front page thats wat magazins r for!

i used to be good in business until we started profit and loss accounts and balance sheets now i suck which is weird cuz my dad and his dad and his dad were all in the business i am exactly like dad
