This is a Muscle Memory Exercise that helps me to improve my guitar playing, (And it still needs it:-) I try to do this exercise as often as I can. I am playing it on my Vintage V300 acoustic and I made the video with Windows Movie Maker for a friend who is learning the guitar. I hope it will be of help to someone. You won't turn into Satch overnight, but if you just like to play the blues & stuff it could help.

  • i have only one thing to tell ALL Biginners and that is as follows........NEVER EVER give up,when i started ithought i would never even b eable to play 1 song or strum a single choard, but 1 of my friends told me to just never give up,practice makes perfect.

just start off with choards and u can get them from google or utube i think, just start off with thoes and just try to link 2 choards 2gether and that should be it,thats what im im doing and there are people that want to record my songs. ;-) .

  • Hi TheDeerHunt3r, Thanks for your comment, I agree with every point you make, however, if you are already a player and struggling with the speed and accuracy of your scales and playing as I was, this is a very good exercise to get the memory of the muscles in your fingers recovering and moving more freely. And as you said, never ever give up. Time and practice are the key. Good luck with your songs and thanks again;-)

  • i have been learning guitar for about a week now, i got the v300 same as yhoo :),, n ill try those exersises :) , btw your lyrics are amazing in that song you did,, i am stating out in writing lyrics myself, any tips? keep up the awesome work dude, look forward in hearing more songs from you .. i got you aint gonna use my love stuck in my head now lol ,

  • Hi again legendaryan Glad my song has got stuck in your head:-) When it comes to writing lyrics I just wait until something comes to me, it is always about something that has either happened to me or has influenced me greatly, if you write the lyrics from your heart and experience it is my belief that they cannot fail to touch someone and even if it is just one person, then it has been worth while putting it out there. Sounds like bullsh*t, but its what I believe and I hope it helps:-)

  • Well I don't think the V300 is the best guitar under £1000 but it is certainly excellent value for money. I guess if these guitars had Martin or Taylor written on the headstock they would easily sell for much more than £100. I also got one and as our friend mrtelechi here also replaced the plastic saddle and pins for bone, lowered the action too. what strings are you using here mrtelechi? Btw, great song on that other video of yours, congrats.

  • Hi richardmilk, thanks for your comments they are greatly appreciated, I think it was Guitarist Mag that voted it the best acoustic for under £1000, I myself couldn't say, but I do like it now I have tweaked it a bit. I use Rotosound Strings whenever I can because they have never let me down, these start at 10. Thanks again.

  • its no big deal, but the key really is the amount of time u put in.ive been playing for a bout 4 years and there are still a few things i just discoveed with your video.like the exersize you just showed us the more u do it the faster youll get at it.

  • Yeah it got voted the best acoustic under £1000 by...somebody but hey i guess they're right =]

  • Hi alexandrevinson, it is a superb guitar and I have been complimented on it many times, since this video was done the neck warped because I left it on a wall hanger in the sun. After adjusting the truss rod and fitting a bone insert in the bridge it is better than ever, dispite a good friend of mine falling on it and leaving it with a few battle scars. In my opinion, for what it is worth, I do not think that you will get a better parlour sized guitar for the money.

  • i may be buy this guitar,is it good?
