i got my tonsils out and i got them out when i was younger but it made my voice sqeaky at 11 it should be normal... so it sux

surprisingly the pain wasn't that bad right after the surgery. i thought it was going to be a LOT worse. i was in pain for the first two weeks or so, but it didn't hurt me to talk, mostly to talk. drinking/eating cold things help A TON so definitely keep ice water in your system!
