@kpatrickm. I sorta got lost in researching the subject and didn't notice the year thing...oops...still imagine how happy you'd have been if you where still looking for the answer :)
I've got a problem though. I can install a menu system the latest one I've tried is the Miopocket pc one. It works great but only when I run it from the file manager. I can't get it to auto run when I switch on. I'm using a Navman S50 with everything on the SD card. Any suggestions ? Thanks.

@kpatrickm . I use an 8 gb SDHC so yes they do work ok. I've unlocked using mio moov but having difficulty installing a menu system.

Are you sure thats an S50?
My S50 has the SD Slot in the top of the unit, i see yours is on the underside,

I am thinking of getting one of these satnavs,can you tell me what size SD card you have in there and can it accept SDHC cards?Cheers
