  • The bogs of moss that soak up water release it slowly, providing water flow throughout the year.. a lot depends on them. The bogs strike me as being the priority for protection, whether it be 4WDers or cattle that destroy them,

  • Tony Burke has no idea of Alpine National Parks. His rant here is purely a scare campaign. He was shown across King Spur, which is decimated by 4wds more than any cattle. If he bothered to look at the positives he would not be ranting like this. Those that are sucked in by his dribble like SpaceWalkTraveller don't take the opportunity to visit, learn and understand this area that pre Alpine Park was the most beautiful place to visit. Now it is infested with weeds, 4wd tracks, and resorts. Shame!

  • Ted Baillieu is an absolute idiot. I don't vote for Labour but I agree 100% with what you are saying. We've detroyed so much of Victorias environment and the few parks we have should be protected. Just drive around and you'll see empty cow paddocts. Putting cows in National Parks is a total disgrace, the people own National Parks not the farmers. National Parks are a safe havens for our wildlife that should be respected and protected. Don't blame the cows blame the farmers.
