An extract from the documentary currently in production about the working year of public artist Martin Firrell. Produced by Simon Channing Williams and Special Treats Productions.
We came up as a family on Saturday night (kids aged 11, 9 and 7) feeling pretty end-of-the-week jaded. Our spirits were completely revived by this. We didn't go inside (a regret) but watching the words on the front and the dome when crossing the bridge sparked great conversations. The spirit of people on the bridge reminded me of when the Sultan's Elephant came to town. Thankyou so much to the artist and everyone involved, especially the person who came up with 'The squeak of Haloumi cheese'!
Congrats, Martin! It's perfect, and I can't wait to see the rest of the doc. I didn't know that you were considering projecting longer sentences and full paragraphs onto the building, so that's super exciting! Good luck with the rest of your filming, and work on The Question Mark Inside.
Beautiful work, great doco. You are just the kind of artist my partner and I aspire to be. So inspiring.

Just watched the documantary and wanted to say thanks. Wish I'd seen the live piece, it was amazingly emotional.
