With hyperstar lens exposure is 25 times faster therefore you don't need a wedge for astrophotography.the lens can be obtained from starrizona, see the demo vid on their site for this lens

For imaging, nothing beat a c11 with hyperstar and a good DSLR.

I have the CELESTRON EdgeHD 11" Optical GEM Tube Assembly on the GT-CG-5 Advanced Mount Computerized GOTO 40,000+ N.G.C., Messier, IC Object Database.I wanted an Equatorial Mount instead of a CPC Alti-Azimuth Mount. My ATLAS Celestron 2.0" Diameter Tripod Legs,CG-5 Advanced Equatorial Mount has 4 Counterweights of Fully Balanced 44lb or 20 Kilogram CounterWeights, for Full Equatorial C.C.D.Camera,Pro-DSLRs,GuideSc
opes,Off-Axis Guider all Payload by Balanced on 4 CounterWeights.35lb.TorkCG-5 mount! -

Yes, 'mirror flop' may be a problem when imaging; pity scope has no mirror lock.

nice video. would a focal reducer work with this scope, to allow a reduced magnification to get the full nebula in the field?
Yes, and focal reducer would work but you are limited to no longer than 40mm 55mm Televue is too long and will cause vingetting. at f/10 its 2800mm FL and at 6.3 Its 1764mm. so 40mm= 44x. at f/6.3 40mm=70x at f/10
