This is WBBM CBS 2 Chicago 1995 6pm news open. This is during the 1995 Chicago Heat wave. The deadest heat wave in US History. Bill Kurtis and Mary Ann Childers anchors. Due to an editing problem, I can't shorten video or combine with the 10pm video, but enjoy.
@sickandtiredofmorons I never lived in the ghetto, unlike your mama. I saw her sucking gang banger's dick in the South Shore area, 75th and Exchange for 25 cents a cock! Now go rot in hell you racist cuntbag, Chicago has no room for ignoramuses like you!
@lostindiancamp This is very true. We've learned a lot since this incident since then. I have to agree with you though, because when it gets hot out here, there still are problems (especially in relation to the elderly). Though, not as great as the ones that were experienced here almost sixteen years ago. I've never been to Texas before, but I would think it's got to be a very interesting experience to be there in the summertime.
@CKru8789 I can understand the elderly not being able to afford the electric bill....and that is very sad that help is not available to them. The elderly should be taken care of better than that so they can look after their health.
@CKru8789 Also, come to think of it, there were frequent power outages and some people trying to go on a looting spree at that time. This is also why some people kept the windows shut at night too.
@lostindiancamp Yes we do and we did back then. It might be shocking to you, but for people who were elderly at the time, one of the reasons was that some of them couldn't afford to turn on the air conditioner, and were too stubborn to. The taxes here are outta sight, and during the summer and winter months COMED makes serious money on the air conditioning and heating being run out here.
Honest question...don't people in Chicago have air conditioners? I live in South Texas and we have to deal with this kind of heat 6 months out of the year, so it just shocks me to hear so many people died when the weather was this hot for only one week.
@sickandtiredofmorons Also, this is 2010 and we should be over this racism shit so therefore I continue to watch you racist lowlifes make a joke out of yourselves, I'm done with fucktards like you, have a nice day!
@sickandtiredofmorons Oh wow, you calling me a nigger and that suppose to hurt my feelings? You lucky this is the internet and you're not in my face doing that, my white husband will kick your racist ass! Even though I lived in a neighborhood with whites, asians, hispanics, Arabs, Indians, and other races and it's called Hyde Park and yes ALL races were playing in fire hydrants 15 years ago. You need Jesus that's all and I'm laughing at you! The real nigger here is YOU!

WBBM reused the "Enforcer" news theme in 2000-2001, and 2002-2005.
