Tim Robinson plays Django's improvisation "Echoes of Spain". Please visit http://web.mac.com/tjvrobinson/timrobinson/home.html
I often get asked for tabs for this tune. My advice would be to firstly get the recording and try to work it out yourself by ear. Failing that get the book "Unaccompanied Django" by Michael Horowitz, or to find it on the web look at this excellent site: http://jazz.chansons.free.fr/guitarejazz2.htm

  • Tim Robinson the writer?!

  • @iambiased716 Sadly not...

  • did django play with a pick?

  • @chaplinconspiracy about 98% of the time, yes.

  • that isn't a Django song...that song is way older then Django's era.....there was a symphony based on the opening melody.

  • @issofunky You mean an open E major chord? Surely not!

  • @Satchmoeddie That's stupid. by playing with less fingers than what hes used to (since he has all 5 fingers which weren't messed up in an accident), he is inhibiting his playing. and he would not rethink his fretboard, he would rethink his finger movements. I know it can be done, but that's stupid. plus dont emulate his style, pick pieces and be influenced by them and create your own style. direction of picking is not important either. it's whatever the hell he wants to pick. u = bad guitarist

  • THIS is how you honor the master Django Reinhardt! Good job!

  • It sounds a little to good ??

  • CHEATER you used more than two fingers. aint grizz baby

  • Good ... you've inspired me!

    Thanks.

  • I did a cover of this myself too, but only the intro yet unfortunatelly. Btw this is lovely keep it up and thats an amazing sound of a guitar.
