Kayunga district is one of those areas that bore the brunt of the recent drought and some of the people who suffered most were the farmers.
Because of their poor health, a cow which could previously go for 250,000 shillings, was being sold at a pittance - a mere 50.000 shillings at the height of the drought.
The irony is that Kayunga is surrounded by two large water bodies - River Nile and Lake Victoria.
