A late winter steam up with my Polly 1 1/2 in February with my good friend Zach Bond (of DVLR fame). Unfortunately, the axle pump failed, the handpump connection pipe blew a leak, and the cylinder cocks weren't shutting correctly. So she was limping a bit, but, we kept her going for the day through rain and shine!

  • Nice engine, looks like it really was struggling!

  • @LlongfordRailway Cheers! It certainly was, it's being repaired at the moment, a proper hydrostatic lubricator is going on and the other bits sorting.

  • yet another locomotive with an Irish regulator,a normal regulator rotates anticlockwise to open and clockwise to close, the same as any standard valve.

  • Oh no, what a shame.
