This Boston WBZ-TV news report covers the press conference by Cardinal Law in which he responds to the first two Boston Globe Spotlight Team reports on the Fr. John Geoghan Case. The priest was accused of child molestation of over 130 victims in a crime spree that took place over three decades. The Globe uncovered, and published, documents that showed that Law and other church officials knew of Geoghan's abuses, but protected him, and gave him repeated assignments to new parishes.

At Cardinal Law's press conference, he apologizes to victims for Geoghan's crimes, and announces a new policy of mandated reporting of child abuse by the archdiocese's priests.

The second half of this video contains a report on mandated reporting by WBZ TV I-Team reporter Joe Bergantino.
