@bradominus1 You know what, I think that's exactly what they're saying, with the exception of leaving out "Now" after the first repetition. Good ear, mate!
-
Here's my interpretation of the chorus: "Ooooh Candy Cake, I love your daughter - Now I'm on the make"
-
gone but never forgot... James - Pete
-
is this a song about a certain brother?
-
this was a great great band
-
@tulllguy Nope.
-
She is so fucking good
-
this a lip-synch?
-
its just terrible that James and Pete died so soon. not only did we lose two very young and talented musicians, but also half of one of the greatest and most unified bands of the early 80's.

@integral I've looked at all the "lyrics sites" also, but no chorus. The closest I can make out is "Oooo can't you get, I love your daughter...."I'm (something something) man", at the end. Drivin' me crazy! ;)
Just noticed, this was their second appearance on the Kenny Everett show.

They were on Kenny Everett Show at least 3 times - I also have 'Talk of The Town' from an earlier appearance.
