In this video, I've assumed that we're well on the way to planning your virtual environment. I believe that it's the responsibility of every IT Manager to ensure there's a comprehensive, verified backup process to enable a point in time recovery should a total site disaster occur. A disaster recovery plan should account for any kind of disruption that restricts or prevents data access. Disaster can strike from many sources, be it natural such as flood or fire, or man made like sabotage or a dirty bomb. The backup should enable the retrieval of data, be it at block or file level, to similar devices in a fresh location to enable services to continue.
