I have some words for you guys. I do not drink, I am going to die, And before that happens want to share some thoughts with you. Sympathy from you there is no need. But to tell you what I think is what I need. So here it is.

  • My family member left me to die, vertigo... after a dis-honest chiropractor disaligned my neck, then tried to sell me 240 treatments. Family is angry because I am against AA. AA is her life, her main social life. Because I speak up about AA alternatives; Rationjal Recovery, Jack Trimpey (and will not give her money for her causes) she left me to die few times, had to call Ambulance myself. Maybe she would have had a different thought when I called her for help if she was not brain-washed by AA.

  • Be a nobody by turn your "will" over to God. Be somebody by keeping and strengthening your will in God's light. My God does not want me to turn my will over to him. My God wants me to have a strong mind, will, and spirit being a complete person in his image.

  • speed up those lips champ we're not getting any younger.

  • I agree with you totally!!! Your insights are poignant and accurate. AA promotes arrant hypocrisy and intra-psychic and emotional damage. 12-step groups can have a disastrous effect on vulnerable and desperate ppl who are in need of validation and consideration. Yet AA further demoralizes the newcomer by stripping him/her of their humanity and individuality. AA manipulates the person to actually perceiving themselves as a "disease." Rather than having a problem that can be overccome. AA=DESPAIR.

  • Miracles happen in aa everyday. So for you to say harsh things about aa is wrong.

  • Sorry to hear about your health. First of all some alcoholics can help other alcoholics toghther because they cant do it on there own. They know how they operate and share there strengths wisdom and hopes. Aa doesnt make people quit is helps, its not as easy as you say "they stop drinking". Maybe you should just stop smoking. Would you rather have that man you love so much end up on the street? Or dead from alcoholism? Aa doesnt cut people out of lives, it saves people. It has saved mine!

  • Stop Drinkin' and Start Trippin'

  • @DieselDog77

Yep. It's not a social club. It's life and death for real alcoholics.

  • @danielbushey2

Exactly. Get out of yourself and help someone else. That's how it works.

  • I am not realy sure about the AA, and why any individual needs to buy into a system to turn around the terrible affliction that alcohoism is. I only hope that anybody searching articles like this finds a way to remove alcohol from their life if it has become a problem.
