Peter Duchin's lead guitarist and vocalist, Roberta Fabiano, has written and produced this song which is a tribute to Arnold Caminet and Richard Jurman, two beautiful souls who have left us earlier this year. Both had a tremendous love for birds. Arnold loved and understood pigeons like no one else. His special pet pigeon was named Black Eagle.
Richard loved parrots and has always wanted to help them. His very special Eclectus parrot would always be on his shoulder. 12/04/08: We just got word that Richard Jurman's parrot, Kiwi, has passed away. Kiwi was and will always remain much loved by Richard's family. Richard's brother Calvin tried everything he could to save Kiwi's life. Kiwi's ashes will be spread on Richard's grave at the unveiling in a few months.
Richard and Arnold were both dedicated members of the Long Island Parrot Society and they will be sorely missed by all of us. I created this video in Palm Beach, Florida and I thought the seagulls flying in the sun best represented their two souls flying to their destiny in the heavens. Special Thank you to my dear friend Marcella Erthein for helping to keep the seagulls flying. I'd love to hear Carlos Santana play this song someday!

I have a lot of club pictures but don't have many pictures of Rich although he may be on some of the club videos those are right now in the library. There is a club photo album that one of the members has, there may be more photos there. We'll take a look for them. Joan

Richard will be missed more than words could possibly say he was loved by everyone who met him and he did not have an enemy in this world and it is my true belief that there was no kinder or gentiler person on this earth the lord took the best.

Steve, please if you have any videos of Rich please add them to the link of this video. I wholeheartedly agree with your comments which is a first. Richard will be missed and this world is a much worse off place without him. Besides being a vegan he has brought joy to many boys and girls in his teachings in person and as coproducer of the bird show of the ways of his birds to many of the worlds next generations. Richard will be missed. This is an excellent tribute to my brother but I wish it had more pictures of Richard who grew up in Plainview the home of the Plainview Gulls. We had relatives named Siegel on both sides of the family so Seagulls are really fitting and his never ending deep love for his parrots will be lived on throught his birds life with his only children (the birds) Zazu,Kiwi,and Pumpkin. His loving brother, Neil. Please give a donation to LIPS in his memory. He was taken too early.
