The food of the Luo is Bel (sorghum). All other crops come only after that very beloved cereal.

  • In fact,West Africans, mainly the Yoruba and peoples of Benin eat mainly millet (kal) and SORGHUM (bel)which, after grinding into flour, gives them a nutritionally rich "kuon",that thick cake that the Luo also ATE to remain HEALTHY strong, muscular and brave warriors! The Luo should ask themselves why years ago they were strong, muscular and independent while since they started eating the national maize-flour they have become weak and generally feminine(joke!).Wake up Jaluo, you are what you eat!
