This is my lancer with a cold air intake. Used a camera phone so the vid is crappy. Leave comments if yall liked the vid or not. Thnx for watching. "yes i kno its a short ram but according to the company kool vue, i am also putting in a shorter pipe to have more room in the engine compartment."

P.S. I have repositioned the intake and now it seems to work better.

Edit: This is the way it has been for awhile. This is before I had my catback exhaust. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Drd6Rn08cE8&feature=channel

  • Hi, I know you've had this video up for a long time but...

Are you in Australia? I am looking at cold air intake system for my lancer CE2, is yours A ce2 1.8L? Where were you able to purchase the air intake system from?

    thanks :)

  • @Hamster3127 No I'm in the US. It's a 2.0 but you could do it to your 1.8L. Just look it up online and you will have a bunch of options to choose from.

  • Why does this vid have more views than my better quality ones? lol

  • get rid of this.

your actually losing power, not gaining it. your sucking in warm air from the engine. warm air particles are farther apart. u want cold air, those particles are close together making you suck in MORE AIR which equals more power. if your gunna get an intake get a actual cold air intake.

  • For the automatic lancer the only thing you can get is a ram air intake. Our transmission gets in the way. Also it gives low end torque but also gives up top end which to me doesn't matter because it's really cold outside so its w/e. lol

  • @Sk8erEray123 he speaks the truth

  • @RJDGGG86 he means a cold air intake which goes into the bumper/fender well. Some cars can have that but some cars can't. This car can if it is a manual transmission. Automatic transmissions for this lancer just takes up too much room.

  • @Sk8erEray123 ur wrong. this engine aint a v6 or 8 for it to get that hot as u put it to suck warm air in. these engines stay cool enough even during summer. its a 4cl car after all. plus the engine isnt air tight, there is plenty air coming from many areas of the front. i have a similar pod. infact since the change, took back an extra .75 of a second over 0-100 run. Not having a go at ya, but simply commenting on the basis that i own a similar intake, and very happy w its performance.

  • You do know this is an old video right? And if you're going to tell me that it needs to be in the front bumper it isn't possible with the automatic versions unless i relocate the battery or do a tranny swap. Look at the newer video to see the position its in. This video I took was like forever ago.

  • This is the worst location of the filter!
