This is the visual presentation I put together for my senior philosophy project at SLU. You can read the paper if you'd like; it's a real hoot.

  • very good

    see:

Davidson, Frankfurt, Velleman, Bratman, Hornsby, Miller, Anscombe, O'Brien

  • The inquiry project only threw me as deep as Bratman and Davidson, but I covered a little Anscombe and some text by Carlos Moya that was a great synopsis of the action theory study. Very interesting, and I'd like to read Hornsby and Frankfurt this summer.

  • @jryan0628 check out the dreyfus-mcdowell discussion.

  • Are you sure Davidson doesn't believe in will, or that he doesn't believe in anything like a 'free' will.

Also, doesn't living precede action - at least for humans?

This video was less deep than the music and the voice-over may seem to suggest.

    Action... So?

  • Very good video, surprised it doesn't have more views. Nice job.

  • Ever read Rorty?
