Tour of Ethan Ace's House (RuneScape)

A brief tour of my house in RuneScape. Approximate time taken to plan, gather resource and to build the construction was around thirty days in total, breaks taken for real life time with study, friends etc. Although the main "bones" of the house was completed in seven days, it was thirty days before everything was in place. It was another seven months before I finally finished upgrading all the last things, such as adding scrying pools, ripping out and upgrading thrones and fountains, etc. More information is given at end of video.

Please note I do not play RuneScape competitively anymore. I occasionally log on to host a party or two but that is it. I like to catch up with old friends and it is a shame to let my account die after so long.

Ever since Construction came out, I was crazy about making my own house, however I never thought I'd ever get enough money, as I rinsed myself of 300K for my first house just at level 36 (at the time that was literally my whole RuneScape career earnings!) So for over a year I didn't touch the skill, and instead I focused on levelling up my character in everything else. One day, I looked back at my construction skill, the skill I loved but had neglected. I looked at my house and knew it was time for a change, to aim big and not to stop until I reached my goal; to own a beautiful and impressive mansion. A few months later, and here she is in all her glory. I like to think of this as my tribute to RS, my final stamp, my mark I made on the game before I leave for good. It's always best to go out on a high. Money will always fluctuate, but my house and it's market value will stand forever. (Or for as long as RuneScape does :P)

Ethan I have a ? aboat membership when my membership expires do I loose my house and member objects?

Hi Tim, when you lose membership you keep your house and all member items. This however does mean you won't have any space to store anything else in your free world bank as you'll already be over the limit. Hope this helps!

Hi, unfortunately my plans were hard copies and I no longer have them. However if you'd like design idea you can just flick through this video and place rooms in the same order. My original design is no longer the same as the finished house (since updates to construction took place after I built it, including new summoning gardens etc.) Just bare in mind that such a project will set you back far in excess of 50Million GP at minimum without training.

@KyuuKaji Yes, but years ago before they changed it your free space would be taken up by members objects. I remember back in 2004 and 2005 it was still like this

@Ethanace2 That isnt totally true, the FTP bank space goes on FTP items only, so if you only have 30 ftp items you will have like 38 free space or so. but the house itself doesnt get deleted just wont be able to visit on a free world, and members items will become unusable. and you wont be able to sell them either. so its generally best to sell b4 you lose it unless you plan on getting it back in a few months.
