argh... you DO NOT need to be on the web... there is a misunderstanding here. the little device BROADCASTS A WIFI SIGNAL... it is saying to your ipod touch, "iamtheweb, connect to me" and that is how the device communicates with your ipod. very cool. don't need cable, and it gets around the fact that ipodtouch doesn't have real bluetooth. brilliant.

The reason its like 80 bucks is because it is a GPS Booster for the iPhone, and, even though it gives the iPod touch gps, it is limited to wifi areas only... if only there was a big wifi system, for coverage anywhere.......

Very nice actually. I was expecting an ordinary looking web images instead of interactive 3d views.

SO the locogps is like a router, but you have to access this via safari???
P.S. if you look at it in hi-resolution the quality is better and the artifacts disappear..

You don't have to be on the web: the maps are served by a locally recorded maps (flah memory or micro sd card) and accessed from a web browser that can access rich media content like safari on the iPhone or iPod touch
