Led by Harvey Fuqua, The Moonglows (aka Harvey & The Moonglows) first had a hit with "Sincerely" in 1955 later successfully covered by the McGuire Sisters. The next year, "I Knew From The Start" was featured in the film "Rock, Rock, Rock". Marvin Gaye joined the group soon after this, and when Harvey disbanded The Moonglows in 1960 to join the staff of the newly formed Motown Records, he brought Marvin along with him, and I think most of you know the rest of that story.
