  • not a bad looking car to be honest, but far outclassed by others both asian and domestic.

  • There are some nice design touches, including the rims and the steering wheel. (Love the stealthy, behind-the-wheel, audio controls.) The black wood interior trim and asymmetrical center console are quite different.

  • What was The MSRP?

  • $22,849 (without destination/handling), only option was the Sport Value Package with Sunroof.

Looks like they're going for well under invoice ... CarsDirect shows it at just over $20K.

  • i like the galant a lot, its very good looking, but not competitive, a very anonymous midsized sedan. i think if Mitsubishi doesn't do something quick, there won't be a galant anymore.

  • I'd like to spend some time with the V6 Galant Ralliart one of these days ... need to do the Lancers first ...

  • I like the old galents more

  • I had no idea they were such a good value - in times like these, that matters a lot.

  • The Galant and the Legacy used to be the awesome larger sedans...now...everyone have to get a fat executive.

  • @Maribuu yeah i agree the 2001 model is a masterpiece!

  • @ralph0722 I could not agree more. I own their V6 sports coupe and it comes with a 10 year 100,000 Mile warranty. I've had it for about 5 years now and i dont even have 33K Miles on it. Never had a single issue with it thank god, and the drive on the performance of the vehicle (Not to mention the style) is well above the competitors.

  • This car sort of reminds me of my 2006 Eclipse GT. It does not compare performance wise, but the rims were on the Eclipse model, and they share the same suspension i think. Sport tuned 4 wheel independent suspension. Not too sure about the Galant. Which they made an AWD Version with Evo style. But then again, we also wish that for the Eclipse, and all other mitsu cars.

  • I just recently bought a 2009 galant sport 2 months ago. It's a really nice car. Drives really good, looks great. Many people have come up to me to ask about it and to tell me how pretty it is. Its black on black The wheels are different then the one on this video, more sport looking. It has many added features from the previous owner who added everyone possible. Sticker price she paid was $27,640. I wish it was more up to date with technology though. Love the heated seats!

  • Is this a good car for a beginner teen? money is not that much of a prob for me(Im not related to millionaires though!)

Any advice would be appreciated. The only thing I want in a car is(Apart from measuring good in the cool-o-meter) space and efficiency.

  • @coolerdude44 you should also speak in past tense about the Nissan altima. No gears also relates to better fuel economy, and the interior is very quality (says JD and me)

  • @vaguy78 i speak in past tense because mazda ruined the car for the 2008 redesign.

  • @vaguy78 no, but more gears does equate to better mpg at higher speeds, better real-world acceleration, and a smoother ride. i owned a 2006 altima with a 4 speed automatic, and it was horribly jerky, and i only averaged 23 mpg while owning it, which is pretty terrible.

to be honest, i don't see the appeal of the galant or the altima. they're low-quality and they're not sporty, nor are they comfortable. the only competitor that blends (or shall i say, blended) these together was the mazda 6.
