I may be an old decrepit man now, but I'm not sure this really is from 1971...I think some of these songs were from at least a few years later.
Of course, K-Tel compendium records like this usually had hits that were no longer at their peak of popularity anyway. I'm sure that's how they could license them in the first place, because they weren't selling so many copies anymore.

Only thing I hated about those records was the fact the songs were cut way short so they could cram them all on there.
