The Economy Drive.
Having come home from holiday to find that Sid has left all the lights on, the TV running, and failed to cancel the milk and the papers, Hancock decides to go on an economy drive. Problems arise in a self-service cafeteria, and even a short stay in hospital fails to save them any money.

  • My girlfriend absolutely hated Hancock up untill she watched this episode. Genius. Im only 21 and my mates think im old fashioned to watch this. Its probally due to lack of violence, rape, and drugs. "whens the coranation YAH YAH YAH" lol

I think The Telegraph did a service by coining the phrase of today's comedy as "the tyranny of edginess”. For one, vulgarity hasn't been edgy since the likes of Peter Cook, George Carlin and Richard Pryor did it artfully in the 70's. Today's breed are lowest common denominator sex/potty jokes mixed with infantile meanness. Just because it's easy material for a well connected, aspiring comedian doesn't mean it's entertaining for the rest of us. I miss the era of talent.

  • im 14 just discovered hancock week ago and the only thing is i don't understand is the money system (im Canadian)

  • lol raffles the gentleman crook

  • Heard about this from reading Jacqueline Wilson's autobiography...love it :')

  • Absolute genius, Paul Merton is also a huge fan of Hancock. Also, if you ever watched Bottom, although more anarchic you can see some elements between Eddie and Richie that mirror these two, I'll bet there are many more who have modelled themselves on this double act over the years if you think about it, I'm 30 and my dad introduced us to this years ago and we've loved the episodes ever since

  • Loved these series...funny even today.

  • The greatest comedy genius of all time.

  • @KelvinLSmith i thnk your right i'll live in the past it's funnier and then when im older i'll discover all the rubbish around to day and then go back to the future again ,Hancock was Genious your Bloody right mate
