A short documentary, telling the inspirational story of how this community in Cornwall are working towards a sustainable low carbon future, with the help of a grant from the Government's Low Carbon Communities Challenge.

At the heart of the project is a simple experiment: to try different sustainable energy generating technologies on a variety of different buildings - everything from 19th Century barns to more modern housing stock.

It's real, you too can do it and these people would be delighted to share their experiences - both good and bad:

The documentary was commissioned by Cornwall Rural Community Council as a prize for The Sustainable Village Of The Year 2010 Competition, with funding from the Rural Cornwall and Isles Of Scilly Partnership.

  • Nice sound design!

  • thanks for this very inspiring, our Low Carbon Group ( Low Carbon Galawater) is running an energy day tomorrow and this is just the sort of success ( should we be able to access some start up funding) that may help us as a group develop our ideas for co2 reductions

    thanks for the post
